Turlin Moor, Dorset, South West England
Turlin Moor which is about 2 miles from Poole Town centre has a recreation ground, nature reserve and housing estate. The recreation ground is a proposed hub site for a new community sports club as a joint venture between Poole Borough Football Club and Poole Rugby Club and is supported by the Borough of Poole. The nature reserve is essentially a coastal habitat with elements of saltmarsh, reed bed and grassland adjoining the recreation grounds. Turlin Moor is popular for dog walking, bird-watching, fishing and boat-mooring.
The housing estate at Turlin Moor has had its problems, but most of these are now in its past.
The walks start from the recreation ground car park which is signposted off the B3068 between Poole and Upton. Turlin Moor recreation ground is on Wilts & Dorset routes: 92,93 & 94.
