The Anchor at Shapwick, in Dorset, was bought by Mark & Roxy Thornton at the end of March 2007. Since then, the premises have been subject to a discreet change, to make the pub area more comfortable, yet remain firmly rural in its feel.
Open fires burn in the bar during the winter months, offering added warmth and atmosphere, whilst the seating areas at the front & to the rear of the building benefit from waiter/waitress service during the warmer weather.
The Anchor @ Shapwick is sign posted off the B3082 between Blandford Forum and Wimborne Minster.
