Kimmeridge Bay, Dorset, South West England

The geology and wildlife around Kimmeridge Bay are of great importance. This is shown by it being designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a World Heritage Site. It is an excellent place to go to collect fossils (note that the use of hammers is strictly forbidden).

From the A351 south of Wareham follow signposts along minor roads to Kimmeridge. Park in the Kimmeridge Bay car park.
